Products and services the advertising of which is prohibited
1. Shocking or sexual content
Advertising must not promote shocking or sexual content, products and services (according to 5.1
https://ads.telegram.org/guidelines).
Examples:
- Horrible, disgusting, or shocking images, including blood, bodily fluids, photographs of accidents, graphic details of torture

Nudity, sexually explicit and sexually provocative content, including excessively exposed intimate body parts, sexual products and
entertainment, dating service
2. Hatred, violence, persecution
Advertising must not promote hatred, intolerance, harassment, discrimination, violence, or insults (in accordance with 5.2

Examples:
- Violence and its propaganda, including support for organizations or movements associated with violence

Promoting harassment or bullying, including dehumanizing speech, statements of inferiority, defamatory content, disclosing contact
information or personal information data

Discrimination against individuals, groups or organizations, including hate messages based on race, religion, color, national or ethnic
origin, age, belief, sexual orientation or practices, physical or mental ability
3. Rights of third parties
Advertising must not infringe the rights of third parties, including trademarks, copyrights, privacy rights, or other personal or proprietary
rights. (In accordance with Section 5.3 of

Examples:
- Unauthorized distribution of copyrighted content, including pirated software and content such as movies, music or books.
- Plagiarism, including impersonation of public figures or brands, misuse logos or brand assets, such as the Telegram logo.
4. Political content, sensitive topics, religion
Advertising must not promote political campaigns, elections, political parties, candidates, or political or religious movements. Promoted
posts related to sensitive current events or topics may be temporarily suspended (in accordance with Section 5.5

Examples:
- To speak out for or against a politician, political party or political movement
- Exploitation of political contradictions, including the promotion of political unrest and violation of public order
- Propaganda of religious beliefs or their denial, including propaganda of religious practices and rituals
5. Gambling
Advertising must not promote gambling, games, or casino activities, whether online or offline, involving real money, prizes, or goods of any
value (as per 5.6

Examples:
- Gambling or casino activities, including sports betting, lotteries, bingo, fantasy sports
- Tips, odds, predictions, including sports betting, odds calculators
6. Deceptive or harmful financial products or services
Advertising must not promote content, products, or services related to deceptive or harmful financial practices. When advertising promote a
paid product, the purchase terms must be clear and understandable (according to 5.7

Examples:
- Payday loans, cash advances, predatory lending, including short-term loans

Get-rich-quick schemes, pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing, including guaranteed-income investment offers, and claims to provide
insider investment advice
- Concealing or disguising important information about the promoted paid product, such as rates, terms, and payment deadlines.
7. Uncertified medical services, drugs, supplements
Products promoted must comply with all local regulations and sellers must be properly licensed. Advertising must not promote content,
products, or services that are implicitly or explicitly linked to any unproven health or well-being benefits (as per 5.8

Examples:

Food products, including products for weight loss or weight gain, herbal preparations, dietary supplements, products for pregnancy and
reproductive health
- Medicines not approved by the relevant local regulatory authority
- Sale of medicines or medical products by a store or organization that is not registered and not authorized by the state
- Unlicensed medical devices, services and treatment methods
- Prescriptions for medications

Products that make unsubstantiated claims of curative, therapeutic, or stimulating effects, including methods that offer unrealistic
health benefits
8. Drugs, alcohol, tobacco
Advertising must not promote psychoactive substances, alcoholic beverages, or tobacco products (in accordance with 5.9

Examples:
- Alcoholic beverages, including home brewing kits
- Tobacco, including electronic cigarettes, rolling papers, chewing tobacco
- Recreational drugs, including equipment and paraphernalia such as pipes, bongs
- Instructions for making medicines
9. Weapons, firearms, explosives, ammunition
Advertising must not promote the sale of weapons, explosives, or ammunition, or any content related to them (in accordance with 5.10

Examples:
- Firearms, including sporting, recreational, or any antique firearms that may cause harm
- Ammunition or accessories, including any parts or components of a firearm, even unfinished ones, such as magazines, sights, silencers
- Knives and other bladed weapons, including pepper spray, daggers, and axes
- Explosives, including bombs, grenades, fireworks or firecrackers
- Instructions for assembling or purchasing any product described in this section
10. Spam programs, malware, hacks
Advertising must not promote content, products, or services that facilitate unwanted communications, are intended to cause harm or gain
unauthorized access to a user's device, or have deceptive or unexpected consequences (in accordance with 5.11

Examples:
- Manipulating the growth of social media, including encouraging the growth of social media profiles.
- Incentive or automated clicks, including requests to perform actions on websites or services, or to complete online surveys.

Services for generating automated traffic, including services for boosting metrics/ subscribers, sending automated content to social
media platforms or other services.
- Phishing, including promotional posts about services that deceive the user into providing personal or other information.

Software that causes deceptive or unexpected consequences, including modified applications that contain malware, viruses or any other
malicious code.
11. Products of dubious legality
Advertising must not promote content, products, or services of questionable legality (as per 5.12

Examples:
- Forgery of documents, including counterfeit identity cards, passports, visas, official documents
- Human trafficking, including marriage brokering
- Stolen or compromised data, including carding, passwords to subscription services
- Sale of body parts, including bodily fluids
- Counterfeit goods, including fake or counterfeit goods, inauthentic works of art or digital goods, counterfeit money
